Wow, what a wonderful 3 days! The Northwest Genealogy Conference is over but we will all be reviewing our notes and the excellent book with all the session handouts. I could only attend Friday for the DNA sessions but my partner Lisa was able to attend all 3 days.
CeCe Moore was delightful and full of interesting information. Always entertaining , she explains complicated date in an easy to understand way. Thank you!!
Angie Bush explained DNA and the Genealogical Proof Standard. Picked up lots of information on that session and I even purchased a couple of quick sheets to help me remember.
I was able to attend a session on one of my favorite topics… Obituaries. Cari Taplin not only knows this subject well but has the talents of a standup comic to keep things fun.
Overall the conference was well organized and full of information for every level of genealogist. Lots of fun events and I even won a raffle. The Dames now have a copy of Publish Your Family History: A Step-by-Step Guide to Writing the Stories of Your Ancestors by Dina C. Carson to add to our collection of resources.
A big THANK YOU shout out to the Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society for hosting this event.
